Midwest Bird Control provides professional bird control services throughout South Dakota for commercial, industrial, and agricultural facilities facing ongoing bird pressure. South Dakota’s combination of grain handling, food processing, rail infrastructure, manufacturing, and large open-structure facilities creates ideal conditions for birds to roost, nest, and cause contamination and operational disruption.
We specialize exclusively in bird control, delivering long-term, site-specific solutions for pigeons, starlings, and sparrows — the species responsible for the majority of sanitation issues, corrosion, product loss, and safety concerns at South Dakota facilities.
We Get Birds Out. And we keep them out.

Bird activity across South Dakota is driven by grain and feed access, open steel structures, sheltered canopies, warm mechanical areas, and extended rooflines, especially during colder months when birds seek protected roosting locations.
Midwest Bird Control designs long-term bird control systems that eliminate access points and roosting opportunities rather than relying on short-term deterrents.
Midwest Bird Control supports:
The process remains consistent:
identify the cause, eliminate access, and prevent long-term roosting.

Industrial and infrastructure facilities throughout South Dakota attract birds due to overhead steel, heat retention, elevated access points, and long rooflines.
We commonly service:
Our approach prioritizes facility uptime, worker safety, and long-term system performance.

South Dakota agricultural facilities experience heavy pressure from starlings and pigeons, particularly around grain handling, feed, and open-structure environments.
We provide bird control for:
Our systems are designed to reduce contamination, protect materials, and prevent recurring bird activity without disrupting operations.

Every South Dakota facility presents unique challenges based on structure type, bird pressure, climate conditions, and daily operations.
Our services include:
All systems are engineered to perform in South Dakota’s climate, including extreme cold, wind exposure, snow load, and freeze/thaw cycles.

Railroad Car maintenance shop constantly had birds making messes in the ceilings and the walls and their nesting activities left bird waste all over the place making working areas unsanitary

This project took a total of 3.5 days with 4 rock-star bird netting installers. Here we are installing the hardware and cable, then installing the smaller nets.

4 aerial lifts used on this project. our certifications we had to have were erailsafe, bnsf certification, and Osha 10 certifications. MIdwest Bird Control is fully set up for this type of work.

Bird netting going up. We typically work 10-14 hour days. This way we get the jobs done quicker but also get the guys home in good time to be with their families.

We did the ceiling and the walls. This job completed in the late winter of 2020 and the netting is still solid today

The result is birds no longer having access in the ceilings or walls and a shop clear of bird waste. This is why:
